IMESC sign MoU with Yarmouk University, Jordan


IMESC and the University of Yarmouk signed on 21 December 2016 a memorandum of understanding, under which academic and scientific cooperation between IMESC and YU will be strengthened through exchange and academic publication.    This agreement is projected to achieve positive impact in terms of facilitating the publishing mechanism, in addition to providing a space and accessibility for researchers at YM to publish at international platforms. 

On his part, the President of IMESC, Dr. Gahad Hamed commented, "This agreement represents the continuing commitment of IMESC to the strengthening cooperation between Canadian institutions and Jordanian Universities. At Yarmouk University and across the region our aim is to increase the cooperation between scholars, researcher’s, and to make young Middle Eastern scholars able to publish and work together with Canadian scholars.

Vice President of Yarmouk University commented, Ziyad AlSaed "Yarmouk University is looking forward to signing an agreement with the IMESC to provide the researchers and academics at YU more opportunities to advance their knowledge production in international journals and platforms. “

The signing ceremony was attended by  Dr. Khaled Al Gharayba, international relations’ director at YU, Dr. Fawaz Almomani, Director of Center for Refuges and Displaces Persons and Forced Migration Studies, and Dr. Abdalhadi Alijla, the director of IMESC.
