Alexis Trignani is a fourth-year university student at King’s University College at Western University. Alexis will be receiving an undergraduate degree with Honors Specialization in Criminology. Her interest in the study of criminology, sociology, legal studies, politics and international law has been continuous throughout her academia. Furthermore, her passion lies mainly in the field of social justice, human rights, democracy and social inequality. In particular, Alexis has been focusing her field research on radicalism, islamophobia, conflict in the Middle East, altruism, martyrdom, suicide bombing, state terrorism, geopolitics of war in Afghanistan, axiological rationality and nonviolent strategies to defeat terrorist groups. Alexis’ career goal is to become a lawyer and she will be furthering her studies in law school following her undergraduate studies.
